Valentine’s Day it’s an excuse to buy crap. This capitalist holiday makes people feel like shit if they’re single, because no other holiday singles people out so acutely. For example, everyone has a birthday at some point during the year. But not everyone is paired. Why this single day is supposed to define a relationship for the other 364? Why couples are forced to profess love?

I don’t see the point why one day has to be set aside, designated to showing love and affection for people. It’s the little things that people say and do everyday that say “I love you”, not some cheap gift one specific day. It’s just a day invented by corporations to get us to spend more money by pretending it’s about love. And if you’re single it causes torture and self-pity, and makes you think things like “every year it’s the same shit.. well, I’ll have someone next year”. 

Valentine’s day = MASSIVE BULLSHIT.
